Registered Nurse - PCU/Telemetry Float

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. Must be flexible with on-call schedules as determined by the facility.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will float between multiple campuses, caring for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and general telemetry monitored and medical patients using a universal bed model. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to telemetry and medical patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from approved vendors.
• No hits on state license to practice; active license verified within the last 30 days.
• Flu vaccination status must be provided; exemptions available upon request.
• Preferred: Previous travel nurse experience.
