Position patients, select appropriate imaging protocols, and manage IV contrast administration per established guidelines. Operate CT scanner and related equipment; ensure diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA); perform routine quality control and preventive maintenance as directed. Collaborate with radiologists and the radiology team; document exams, verify patient information, and maintain accurate imaging records. Monitor and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures; respond to patient needs and maintain a calm, efficient workflow in a high-volume setting (approximately 130 exams per day in a 24-hour period noted in the assignment details). Adhere to AHA BLS requirements and ARRT CT certification standards; comply with department policies and safety protocols.
