We are seeking a Receiving Clerk to become an integral part of our team! You will be the first point-of-contact for incoming shipment activities.
This is a union position (Local 359). Union membership is mandatory. After a probationary period, medical benefits are available to employee and dependents at no cost.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments from trucks or delivery vehicles.
- Compare packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Update inventory records using computerized systems.
- Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Process returns and coordinate with vendors for replacements or credits.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock area.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years previous experience in receiving (any industry) AND Inventory Control
- Forklift certification preferred
- Basic computer experience (Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
