You will engage directly with patients, their families, and a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of therapy are delivered.Key ResponsibilitiesIn your role as a Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:Directing and implementing physical therapy treatment that focuses on relieving pain, promoting mobility, and restoring functional abilities based on individual patient needs.Overseeing the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure their activities align with established care plans.Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, joint functionality, and overall performance.Assessing the home environment to provide recommendations that support patient independence and safe living.Delivering in-home physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, maintaining responsiveness to the changing needs of patients.Administering manual therapeutic exercises, guiding clients through both manual and non-manual exercises.Engaging in case planning with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to care reports, and updating care plans based on observed patient progress.Providing education and support to patients and their families about rehabilitation protocols and the use of assistive devices.Patient Population / Client FocusOur patient population consists of a diverse range of individuals, including those recovering from surgery, injury, chronic illness, or disability. You will work with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, ensuring personalized care that respects their unique circumstances and goals. By utilizing evidence-based practices, you will help patients achieve milestones such as improved mobility, pain management, and overall wellness.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a specific focus on delivering effective physical rehabilitation services.A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or home care.Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and emergency responsiveness.A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for travel to client homes if required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create meaningful connections with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.Preferred ExperienceWhile the minimum requirement is two years of experience in physical therapy, candidates who have additional experience in acute care, home care, or specialized rehabilitation settings will be favored. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is also a plus, enhancing your ability to provide advanced care and engage in continued professional development.Compensation and BenefitsEncompass Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
