Clinical Documentation Specialist RN

Schedule

Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN licensure
• 5 years clinical experience
• 2 years utilization review or quality assurance experience
• Preferred: MSN or BSN
• Preferred: 2 years medical case management experience
• Preferred: 2 years experience in managed care or workers' compensation
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct utilization management through prospective and retrospective review of services
• Facilitate medical policy development and Medical Policy Committee work
• Engage in case management and interventions for cost-effective care and return-to-work
• Perform provider profiling, benchmarking, education, and continuous quality improvement activities
• Consult with physicians, medical directors, and other teams
• Research and analyze data to develop policy and protocols
• Track disputed surgical cases and prepare reports
• Provide medical consultation and targeted training to non-medical staff
