Job Description

The SCU (Step Down Care Unit) is not an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and does not include vented patients. The unit rarely administers drips. Experienced telemetry nurses are well-suited for this role in an intermediate community access hospital that caters to telemetry, med-surg, and critical care patients. The facility is looking for RNs with telemetry or med-surg/tele experience from larger organizations for their heightened skill set.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess telemetry, med-surg, and critical care patients.
• Administer medications and manage patient care.
• Occasional floating to Med-Surg Unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including travel experience.
• Current RN license.
• Experience with vasoactive drips, ventilators preferred.
