Director, Technical Accounting

Technical Accounting Director NVIDIA seeks a Technical Accounting Director to serve as the expert for complex technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, while advising business partners and executive leaders. Responsibilities Serve as a technical accounting expert, evaluating complex transactions and providing guidance and disclosure recommendations. Foster strong partnerships across Accounting, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, M&A, External Audit, and other advisors. Identify, research, consult and prepare technical memoranda for complex transactions, bringing a point of view rooted in technical accounting literature. Stay current on FASB and SEC pronouncements and interpret the impact to the Company in partnership with internal partners and external auditors. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting. Active CPA or equivalent qualification. 12+ years of public accounting and/or related industry experience. 6+ years with a technical accounting focus; deep technical proficiency across US GAAP areas and independent research capability. 4+ years of leadership with a demonstrated progression in management roles. Executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to condense complex topics into simple terms. Demonstrated proactive technical accounting assessment and communication. Experience working in a public company SOX‑compliant environment. Ways to Stand Out Advisory experience or National Office tour at a Big 4 firm. Expertise in revenue recognition, derivatives, guarantees, consolidation, and leasing accounting topics. Experience structuring transactions for specific accounting and business outcomes. Experience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire change. High‑growth technology industry experience and a passion for delivering results in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $216,000 – $345,000 USD, based on location, experience, and internal salary benchmarks. Eligible for equity and benefits.
