Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our well-equipped rehabilitation facility, designed to create a welcoming atmosphere conducive to patient healing and recovery. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Our regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, developing customized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.
• Implement effective rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall mobility.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to dedicate adequate time for personalized care and quality interactions with each patient.
• Utilize non-invasive treatment options, focusing on education and self-management strategies that empower patients to take an active role in their recovery.
• Continually reassess and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their response to therapy.
• Foster a motivating environment by encouraging patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, celebrating their improvements and milestones.
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to integrate multidisciplinary approaches into care plans, enhancing outcomes for complex cases.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using EMR software, specifically WebPT, ensuring compliance and facilitating effective communication.
• Provide guidance on injury prevention and wellness strategies, contributing to a culture of health and well-being within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, those requiring rehabilitation after surgery, and individuals looking to enhance their athletic performance. Our client base includes a diverse demographic, from active adults to senior citizens, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your ability to tailor treatment modalities to various patient populations will be integral to their recovery and success.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York, with an impeccable record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong foundational knowledge in manual therapy techniques and current physical therapy practices backed by recent research.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing individualized exercise programs that drive positive patient outcomes.
• Proficient in the use of EMR software, with specific experience in WebPT preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, with a focus on sports medicine beneficial.
• Specialty certifications or training in particular modalities such as dry needling or aquatic therapy can enhance your candidacy.
• Previous work in a team-oriented healthcare environment valued.

Compensation and Benefits

Body Holistics Rehab Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
