Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Albany, New York, our facility offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is conducive to healing and professional growth. You will work onsite alongside a small, dynamic team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our structured work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. As a member of our team, you'll utilize advanced technology and treatment methods to ensure the best possible patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of each patient to identify their health objectives and create tailored treatment plans that cater to their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload with a targeted patient rate of one per hour, providing focused and efficient care.
• Implement effective treatment strategies involving manual therapy techniques, exercise regimens, and mobility training.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance treatment protocols and patient care services.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Drive patient engagement and motivation through personalized care and evidence-based practices, ensuring patients are active participants in their healing journey.
• Focus on early rehabilitation practices that reduce dependency on pain medications and surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient clients dealing with orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, and those seeking post-operative rehabilitation. By providing individualized attention and expertise, you will help patients restore functionality and improve their overall strength, flexibility, and coordination, leading to long-term health benefits.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A proven track record with no disciplinary actions against your professional license.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, with a strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Experience in developing, monitoring, and adjusting individualized rehabilitation plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
