Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist

Priority Personnel is hiring an Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist for a building supply companyto work at their headquarters location in San Marcos, TX. Recent AP experience is required! Pay rate: $20/hour Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8am-5pm Job Duties: Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently in an ERP setting using pre-defined general ledgers, and distinguish expenseinvoices from asset capitalization invoices. Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors by verifying invoicesand obtaining proper approvals for invoice payment processing to occur. Vendor Management: Maintain vendor records, professionally communicate with vendorsregarding payment inquiries or discrepancies, and reconcile complex vendor statements. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions to vendor statements,identify payment misapplication, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, andresearch/resolve any discrepancies. Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals, andgenerating reports as needed to assist our Accounting team. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulationsgoverning Accounts Payable processes. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencyenhancements within the Accounts Payable function. Reporting: Generate reports and provide analysis related to Accounts Payable metrics, trends,and performance indicators. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Professionally collaborate with other departments, such as Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting, to resolve issues and streamline processes. Attendand participate in team meetings, training sessions, and company-sponsored programs. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
