About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry / Stroke Unit RN – North Carolina

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Float and call requirements based on census. Block scheduling is not permitted.

Highlights:

• High-acuity cardiac telemetry and stroke unit with 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Primary unit for pre/post cardiac procedures including pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, and peripheral vascular interventions
• Manage and titrate multiple cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
• Fast-paced environment with 78-90 patient turnovers per week; team lead support for admissions/discharges
• Epic (Dimensions) charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 13-week assignments or longer accepted; 36-hour orientation provided with daily availability required during week one

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience with similar acuity and patient ratios required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management and titration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care, sheath removal, and TR band management
• Competency with central and peripheral line management, blood product administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• North Carolina or Compact RN license required
• Must be comfortable with floating requirements and call coverage
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
