Position Overview Part‑Time, Seasonal We are looking to hire a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Retail Associate. In this role, the responsibilities include but are not limited to… Duties Brand Experience Acts as a brand representative reflective of the company values Initiates conversation, shares advice and product knowledge to interact with the customer in a personalized way Utilizes technology to be well-informed on company priorities and promotions in-store and online; delivers a seamless shopping experience through utilization of the tools available to service the customer (i.e. shopify, POS, In‑Store & Curbside Pick Up) Create a positive and memorable experience for customers that in turn builds brand loyalty Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a startup environment whilst serving customers Support the initiatives of the leadership team to drive sales, client engagement, team engagement, visual merchandising, and operational excellence Embraces learning and leveraging new technologies, systems, apps, etc.; experience with Shopify, Slack, Google Office is a plus Capable and willing to perform opening and closing tasks in the store; potential to carry store keys Teamwork & Communication Contributes to the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others Collaborates with peers and leadership, sharing ideas and jumping in to support the needs of the team Exhibits a willingness to learn and adapt; is flexible to change and open to try new ways of doing things Visual & Business Operations Maintains brands visual and operational standards while keeping the focus on the customer Supports the shipment process to gain awareness of product including what’s new and what’s already on the floor; contributes to completion of order fulfillment processes Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store Participate in general store maintenance; cleanliness, upkeep of store Qualifications Passion for homegoods One or more years of customer service and/or retail experience preferred Experience being a team player Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including evenings, weekends, and holidays Style Union Home is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
