We value diversity, equity and inclusion and are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) for the Radiology department. Position Overview The Radiology Registered Nurse provides high‑quality patient care before, during and after radiological procedures. This includes assessing patient needs, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment: conduct comprehensive assessment of medical history and current health status, evaluate emotional and physical needs prior to procedures. Preparation for Procedures: prepare patients for X‑rays, CT scans and MRI, and educate patients and families. Monitoring and Care: monitor vital signs and patient reactions during procedures, administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed. Collaboration: work closely with radiologists, technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Communication: communicate with patients and families to address concerns and provide support. Post‑Procedure Care: provide care after procedures, monitor for complications, ensure patients are ready for discharge and give follow‑up instructions. Documentation: maintain accurate patient records detailing assessments, interventions and responses, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Continuous Improvement: participate in ongoing education and training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Skills Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in electronic health record systems. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move patients as needed. Prolonged standing and walking may be required. Qualifications Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN). Licensure: Current RN license in good standing issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Experience: Previous experience in radiology or related field preferred. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; certification in radiology nursing (e.g., CRN) a plus. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $39.27 – $94.69 per hour.
