Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by licensed Physical Therapists, focusing on enhancing patients' strength, balance, and mobility.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitoring and recording patient progress through timely and accurate clinical documentation, and maintaining effective communication with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Motivating patients and promoting functional independence during therapy sessions and daily routines.
• Collaborating closely with the nursing and wellness teams as well as caregivers to ensure seamless patient care.
• Educating patients and family members on the proper use of assistive devices and establishing home exercise programs to continue their recovery post-session.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population including seniors and individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic health conditions. Your expertise and personalized approach will be crucial in helping these patients regain their strength and confidence, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid and current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• CPR/BLS certification to ensure the safety of our patients during treatment.

Preferred Experience
