Responsibilities Performs the duties of the Team Coach in absence and shares responsibilities on a daily basis. Ensures team's quality and timeliness of service meets performance indicator goals. Responsible for cost‑effective use of resources to accomplish team outcomes. Gathers, interprets, and recommends appropriate action based on wide range of data addressing service concerns. Analyzes and interprets laws, rules, and regulations and their effect on establishing new policies and procedures. Monitors leave balances, approves or denies leave, and certifies timecards. Runs production and workload reports. Communicates with senior management. Work Schedule and Environment Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Compressed/Flexible: Not available. Qualifications Applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of the announcement (07/15/2026). Time‑In‑Grade Requirement : For a GS‑12, at least 52 weeks at GS‑11 are required. An SF‑50 showing time‑in‑grade eligibility must be submitted. Specialized Experience Performance of technical assignments affecting the VA’s compensation and pension (C&P) benefits programs, including interpretation of C&P laws and regulations. Experience may have been gained as a VSR Authorizer, RVSR, AQRS or DRO. Examples of specialized experience (not exhaustive): Quality assurance or auditor functions related to claims processing and benefit determination. Adjudication and authorization of compensation, pension, and claims. Determination to reconsider claims appeal cases and preparation/presentation of such cases.
