Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room- System Float Pool

Req #: 0000236357 Category: OR Nursing Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Services Department: Operating Room Float Pool Pay Range: $41.04 - $49.94 per hour Location: 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052 System-Wide Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced RNs to join our System-Wide Float Pool. In this role, RNs gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within their specialty area while working assignments at each of the sites throughout our system. The RNs support the team and the patients at each site for an average of three months per assignment. This is an opportunity to float throughout the entire RWJBH system. Enhanced Float Differentials are offered. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; a baccalaureate degree in nursing strongly preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting; CNOR preferred. Current New Jersey RN licensure required. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and serve as an effective role model. Flexibility and adaptability essential to meet system staffing needs as required. Travel required to various hospital-based facilities within RWJBarnabas Health. Average site assignment is three (3) months; assignment length may vary based on facility need. Successful completion of all orientation programs. Essential Functions Demonstrate exemplary critical care skill and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation, and accountability. Organize and administer individualized, age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit to support medical care. Support the philosophy, objectives, and mission of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, and JCAHO requirements. Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participate in unit performance improvement evaluation activities. Other Duties Job duties may change at any time with or without notice.
