Locum NP Opportunity

Mercy LIFE of Pennsylvania is seeking a locum nurse practitioner to start as soon as credentialed for a six-month assignment with the possibility to extend. The nurse practitioner will provide primary medical coverage in collaboration with physicians as needed. Responsibilities include performing initial, semi-annual, and annual assessments, evaluating and treating participants during acute illness, and prudently prescribing medications, therapies, and other treatments for participants. The nurse practitioner will also work with the medical director and clinic supervisor to formulate clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Submission requirements include a master's degree in nursing, a minimum of five years of experience preferably in long-term care, an active Pennsylvania license, BLS, CDS, DEA certifications, and board certification by ANCC or AANP. Certification as a nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority is required. A minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly population is strongly preferred. A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation are also required.
