Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to join our surgical team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Shift Details

• 8-hour afternoon shifts
• 40-hour workweek
• Weekend and holiday requirements as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Operating Room setting.
• Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulator nurse.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians throughout the surgical process.
• Manage and monitor patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the Operating Room.
• Support patient education and rehabilitation post-surgery.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current experience as an OR RN is required.
• Proven experience in both scrub and circulating roles is essential.
• CNOR certification is preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Must have an active Massachusetts RN license, which must be submitted with your application.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• A personal vehicle is required for transportation to and from the assignment.

Orientation and Scheduling

• Non-billable orientation of 8 hours is required.
• All requests for time off during the assignment must be disclosed at the time of submission.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
