Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide temporary support for a minimum of six weeks, with the possibility of extension. This position will focus heavily on collections, customer communication, account maintenance, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience handling accounts receivable functions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Communicate with customers via telephone and email regarding billing inquiries and collection of past-due balances.
Perform cash collection activities while maintaining professional customer relationships.
Review orders placed on credit hold and contact customers regarding overdue payments or accounts exceeding credit limits.
Mail customer statements and invoices as needed.
Review customer payments for disputed items and follow up regarding outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate customer account records and payment information.
Perform general office duties including:
Answering and directing telephone calls
Filing and document management
Copying and scanning documents
Sorting and opening incoming mail
Preparing outgoing mail and shipments
Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications Include
Previous Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Accounting Clerk experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and internal teams.
