SUMMARY:

An Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Behavioral Health Technician provides individual services to the child/youth consistent with attaining the goals of the Individual Resiliency Plan, including the implementation, modeling and coaching of identified interventions in order to promote crisis stabilization and supporting the child/youth, caregiver and other team members with challenging behaviors they are experiencing across settings.

An IBHS Behavioral Health Technician must have a minimum of a Bachelor degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalent in one of the following disciplines: psychology, counseling or sociology and one of the following:

· Certification as a BCBA

· Certification as a RBT

· Certification as a BCAT

· Behavioral Health Certification or Behavioral Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute

· Forty hours of training covering the RBT Task List evidenced by a Certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA

· Have a minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services
