Staff Accountant
$30 per hourTemporary
Kforce has a client in Frederick, MD that is seeking a Staff Accountant with experience in both general accounting and payroll. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, payroll processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Process and support payroll, including payroll taxes, deductions, and related reporting
- Assist with AP, AR, cash applications, and other accounting functions
- Prepare financial reports and analyze account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounting and payroll records
- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including payroll experience
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and payroll processes
- Experience with reconciliations and month-end close
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
