OTR Truck Driver

Job Description NO LOCAL !! THIS IS FOR OVER THE ROAD DRIVERS!!! Our process is simple: Drivers contact our dispatch team before 9 pm PT the day prior to be added to the load list, and we'll assign you to a truck if one is available. We offer 3 or 5 weeks commitment for all OTR load outs. We are seeking experienced and dependable No Touch Freight Drivers to join our team. As a Freight Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials. Your primary responsibility will be to operate CDL commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations. Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate cdl commercial vehicles, vans, to transport freight to assigned destinations. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety during transportation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its mechanical soundness and compliance with company standards. Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and other appropriate methods to prevent damage during transit. Verify the accuracy of shipping documents, such as manifests, bills of lading, and delivery orders, and ensure all necessary signatures and paperwork are obtained. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules and address any issues or changes that may arise. Maintain a neat and organized vehicle, keeping it clean and performing routine maintenance tasks, such as fueling and checking fluid levels. Follow all company procedures for loading and unloading freight, including the use of appropriate equipment and ensuring the proper placement of items to prevent shifting during transit. Keep accurate records of mileage, hours of service, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation as required by company policies and regulatory agencies. Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation of goods, including hazardous materials, if applicable. Requirements: Have over the road experience and Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of freight being transported. Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 2 years. Proven experience as a freight driver or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of safe driving practices and transportation regulations. Excellent navigation and route planning skills to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy freight when necessary. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers. Flexibility in working hours and schedules, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
