POSITION SUMMARY:

• Obtains appropriate specimen by venipuncture, MMH breath test, micropuncture or oral swab from all patient age groups in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings for laboratory test analysis.
• Performs all clerical functions required to maintain work area in a customer focused, efficient manner.
• Correctly orders test information into the LIS.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: One (1) year full-time phlebotomy experience preferred.
• COMPETENCIES:
• 3rd shift Phlebotomist incumbents will be cross-trained in Lab Aide duties to supplement business needs on an as-needed basis only.
• Certain designated assignments require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record free of any violations.

Regular Standard Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours)

Shift Details: Full Time, 40-hours, day shift. Schedule and locations can vary based on needs. Locations can be: MMH, Rockville, Ellington, South Windsor, Manchester and West Hartford.
