Cost Accounting Manager

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in the Burlington, MA area in its search for a Cost Accounting Manager. This is a newly created position that will be responsible for the cost accounting function and work closely with Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing cost accounting experience and be comfortable working directly with plant operations in a hands-on environment. Responsibilities Manage standard costs including materials, labor and overhead Analyze manufacturing variances and work with Operations to understand underlying drivers Manage inventory valuation including raw materials, WIP and finished goods Maintain overhead allocation and absorption methodologies Oversee cycle counts and physical inventory Provide cost and margin analysis to support business decisions Work with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Procurement on BOMs, routings and cost inputs Support month-end close, reconciliations and audit requirements Assist with cost accounting process improvements as the organization continues to grow Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory and overhead Knowledge of BOMs, routings and manufacturing operations Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems Ability to work closely with plant and operational leadership Compensation: $140K–$160K plus bonus and equity.
