Vaco is seeking a Construction Payroll Lead in Phoenix, AZ. Highlights Gain Experience Alongside an Industry Leader People-First Culture & Balanced Work Environment Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of two payroll specialists, including coaching and performance management. Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a designated region. Review and post payroll-related journal entries. Ensure compliance with certified payroll reporting requirements. Maintain and update certified payroll rate tables and supporting data. Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Partner with field teams to resolve and prevent timekeeping errors. Review payroll support tickets to ensure timely and accurate resolution. Requirements High volume, multistate payroll experience (Required) 3-5 years of end to end payroll with supervisory experience (Required) Strong understanding and experience with construction payroll (prevailing wages, job costing, fringe calculations, union payroll, etc.) Previous experience in LCPtacker, eMars, AASHTOWare, or other relevant CPR software experience Ability to go on site 4 days a week Salary $85-95k Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
