Cost Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $125,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Compile monthly financial data using internal systems, including journal entries and inventory-related accruals.
- Reconcile inventory records with the general ledger during month-end close processes.
- Monitor and update daily tasks within the ERP system to ensure timely completion.
- Analyze and report discrepancies in inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Assist with budgeting, cost updates for new products, and support during physical inventory counts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a focus on accounting.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or accounting within a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with other departments.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
- Prior experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Strong foundation in cost accounting principles and a solid grasp of GAAP standards.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Capable of working independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement approach to processes.
