We build dynamic partnerships that allow our creativity to shine through our customers’ culinary vision — making “Food Matter.”SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Purchasing Coordinator supports the Procurement/Operations department with timely and accurate replenishment orders for stock raw materials, and packaging items. This role ensures timely purchasing while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards, cost controls, supply chain and operational efficiency.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties performed by the employee occupying the position.Utilize MRP system to determine and accurately order raw materials, packaging and supply stock items.Place, confirm, and track purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on time and in full deliveries, OTIF.Ensure Purchase Orders and supplier Order Confirmations are accurate for specified item, price, quantity, delivery date and delivery location.Work closely with Procurement, Transportation, and Supply Planning departments.Ensure only specified raw materials and packaging are ordered from QA approved suppliers.Ensure supplier compliance and service level for raw materials and packaging ordered.Maintain supplier transactional documentation.Ensure supplier pricing is accurate in the MRP system and communicate any price discrepancies to Buyer.Maintain inventory levels within company guidelines.First line of contact for resolution with issues pertaining to deliveries, invoices, and service.REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or related field)2 years of purchasing, administrative, or supply chain experience (manufacturing preferred)Strong organizational and multitasking skillsAttention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Experience with ERP/MRP procurement systemsAbility to manage multiple department requests in a fast-paced production settingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNoTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSNoSPECIAL REQUIREMENTSEmployment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee reference check, criminal background check, and drug screening.Solina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
