Overview The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) provides advanced intraoperative support to surgeons across specialties. They handle suturing, retraction, and hemostasis in general, ortho, and neuro cases, preparing ORs and ensuring sterile conditions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surgical procedures and sterile techniques, with experience in operating room settings. Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons with suturing, retraction, and hemostasis. Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments. Maintain sterile fields and infection control. Monitor patient vital signs during surgery. Document procedures in EHR systems like Epic. Collaborate with surgical teams. This role is crucial for surgical precision and efficiency.
