IT TechnicianA-Core: Concrete Specialists is a growing company of people who make efforts to do their very best every day. We have been hiring and developing many of the concrete industry's most highly skilled and safety conscious individuals for almost 50 years. A-Core was founded from one man's desire to make enough money to feed his family. It has now grown to 13 offices in 9 states with over 300 employees and growing.We are seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Technician with good problem-solving ability. The IT Technician will serve as a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems. The IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems. They will also be required to support the business by coordinating the delivery of IT services, policies and initiatives, ensuring IT policies and processes support the company's strategic objectives and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the head of IT & Security.Experience and Expertise:Support all offices, both local and remote, throughout the companySet up and maintain computers, laptops, mobile devices, and necessary peripheral devicesWork with servers, active directory, and virtual networks in Microsoft AzureSet up/remove user accounts on systems (network, email, phone, security, etc.)Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsAssist in maintaining local networks in ways that optimize performanceProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentMaintain software and firmware patches, updates, and fixes used on all devices (server, desktop, tablet, phone) including OS, anti-virus, and malware protectionPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance scheduleIdentify computer or network equipment shortages, expirations, scheduled updates, and place ordersMaintain 24x7 availability to address critical business and/or IT situationsEvaluate new technologies and develop recommendations in support of a forward-looking IT strategyRecommend, plan, and implement infrastructure and application enhancementsAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systemsManage IT inventory across the companyOrganizational and Technical Skills:2-3 years of practical experienceStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communicationExcellent organizational, categorization, and prioritizationActive listening to customers' needs, understanding problems and implementing solutionsResourceful and able to execute tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to work on several projects at once and manage competing prioritiesHigh tolerance for pressure generated from problem situationsStrong critical thinking and problem solvingWork with IT leadership to achieve business and division goalsStrong knowledge of MS Windows and Office 365Able to travel within the US with short noticePreferred Technical Knowledge and Experience:Minimum associate's degreeCloud-based file management solutions (Egnyte) & backup solutions (Acronis)Microsoft Azure, NinjaOne Remote Management, iOS and Android systemsNetworking (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, WiFi, etc.), SonicWall firewalls, computer security, and local security systems.VoIP, preferably CrexendoMobile Device Management (MDM), preferably JAMFDatabases, preferably SQLCertifications preferred such as A+, Network+, and Security+Benefits:A-Core offers a generous benefits package including paid time off when eligibleInsurance benefits when eligible (after 60 days)401K when eligible (after 60 days)Growth opportunities with a great companyAll A-Core Inc. employees are expected to completely adhere to the safety policies practiced throughout the construction industry.A-Core is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
