Job Description

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The Surgical Technologist is a recent graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist (ST) program or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program.

Has less than one year of experience as an ST.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: None.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Post high school education, certification or diploma required.

Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

TRAINING REQUIRED: None.

TRAINING PREFERRED: None.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: None.

SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED: None.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
