The City of San Pablo is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Engineering Services Manager to lead the Engineering Division within the Public Works Department. Under general direction of the Public Works Director, the Engineering Services Manager plans, organizes, manages, and directs the programs, personnel, projects, and operations of the Engineering Division while serving as the City's designated City Engineer.

Located in the heart of West Contra Costa County along the I-80 corridor, San Pablo is a vibrant, culturally diverse community of approximately 32,000 residents. The successful candidate will be an experienced municipal engineering professional with strong leadership, project management, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to manage complex engineering programs and multiple concurrent capital projects.

• Managing the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
• Directing Engineering Division operations and supervising professional and technical staff.
• Overseeing engineering design, development review, construction management, transportation, traffic, and
• Managing consultants, contractors, professional services agreements, and construction contracts.
• Preparing and administering operating and capital budgets.
• Advising City leadership on engineering, infrastructure, development, and regulatory matters.
• Reviewing and approving engineering plans, specifications, permits, reports, and technical documents.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, permits, and engineering standards.
• Representing the City before elected officials, commissions, regulatory agencies, developers, contractors, and the public.
• Serving as Acting Public Works Director as assigned.
