Job Description:

1. Provides clear instructions at the start of the shift.

2. Assigns specific tasks per person and machine.

3. Supervises on the floor, not from an office.

4. Corrects deviations immediately.

5. Provides daily feedback to the team.

Organization:

Keeps the yard functional and orderly.

1. Maintains clearly marked material zones.

2. Ensures clear aisles and defined loading routes.

3. Reviews physical inventory daily.

4. Verifies that tools are in their proper place.

5. Creates schedules; implements order and cleanliness (5S) checklists.

Decision-Making:

Resolves problems without halting operations.

1. Prioritizes urgent orders without compromising safety.

2. Reassigns personnel in the event of absences.

3. Decides when to halt an operation due to safety risks.

4. Resolves minor equipment malfunctions.

5. Escalates critical issues in a timely manner.

Communication:

Coordinates and keeps everyone informed.

1. Reports incidents to the Manager in real time.

2. Coordinates changes or delays with the Sales department.

3. Confirms special orders with the Cashier/Front Desk.

4. Provides clear and verifiable instructions.

5. Documents and communicates relevant decisions.

Control

Detects and corrects errors before they escalate.

1. Verifies that orders are loaded correctly.

2. Audits critical material inventories.

3. Reviews equipment logs.

4. Identifies material waste and its causes.

5. Implements immediate corrective actions.

Focus on Safety:

Safety is the absolute priority.

1. Enforces full compliance with safety protocols.

2. Conducts safety briefings and training on responsible machinery operation.

3. Halts unsafe operations.

4. Trains new personnel regarding workplace hazards.

5. Reports and documents incidents.

Punctuality and Commitment:

Sets an example and resolves issues without making excuses.

1. Arrives before operations begin.

2. Oversees the opening and closing of the yard. 3. Attends to vendors outside of normal business hours.

4. Resolves issues even after the shift ends.

5. Ensures the operational continuity of the team.
