Entry Level Assembler - Key Responsibilities & Requirements Position Summary

• Assemble custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses using drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform wiring, soldering, crimping, and measurement tasks to support electrical and mechanical systems.
• Contribute to product quality through accurate assembly, inspections, and documentation.
• Work in a clean, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow job instructions, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete assemblies.
• Assemble custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to specifications.
• Perform point-to-point wiring, soldering, and crimping of electrical components.
• Operate hand and power tools, including:
  • Wire strippers
  • Soldering irons
  • Crimpers
  • Drills
  • Tape measures
  • Measuring devices
• Measure and verify assembly dimensions using rulers and tape measures.
• Strip small and heavy-gauge wires without damaging conductors or insulation.
• Bundle, organize, and prepare cable assemblies for integration into larger systems.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and workmanship standards.
• Maintain production records, logs, and documentation.
• Report assembly issues, deviations, and rework requirements.
• Follow production, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and AS9100 quality procedures.
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Support material handling and assembly workflow activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, warehouse, retail, fast food, or similar environments.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools accurately.
• Experience or ability to learn hand and power tool operation.
• Ability to perform wiring, soldering, crimping, and cable assembly tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to maintain accurate production documentation.
• Willingness to follow AS9100 and manufacturing quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cable assembly, wire harness assembly, or electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with soldering standards such as J-STD-001.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• BG in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments.
• Experience using hand and power tools in production settings.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, or transportation industries.
• Strong organizational and workstation management skills.
• Willingness to learn new assembly methods and production processes.

  • Monday-Thursday: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
