Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Skills in MS/Tele, PCU, and experience in the management of various post-operative patients Description: Registered Nurse needed for a surgical intermediate care unit. The role requires experience in managing patients post-bariatric surgery, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and trauma cases. Candidates must be skilled in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, and various drain management is essential. Knowledge of epidural analgesia, PCA, and wound care techniques is also required. Regular floating may be required between departments and units as needed. Nurses are expected to provide high-quality care for patients recovering from complex surgical procedures. Multiple drains, catheter management, and wound vac changes will be common responsibilities. Pain control methods include epidurals and PCA. Weekend shifts are required as part of the 6-week scheduling period.
