Senior Accountant

We are currently hiring an Senior Accountant . This role is hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days from home) Responsibilities/Duties Lead and coordinate the annual external audit process, serving as the primary liaison with auditors and ensuring timely completion of all audit requirements. Oversee the month-end close process, reviewing accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results. Perform and review complex account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules to maintain accurate financial records. Review and validate consolidation activities for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages. Direct financial reporting activities, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information to leadership. Oversee general ledger operations, including journal entries, account maintenance, and adherence to internal controls. Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and technical accounting matters that support organizational objectives. Research and evaluate complex accounting issues, providing guidance and recommendations in accordance with GAAP. Review financial information and supporting schedules used in the preparation of Form 990 filings. Review unrelated business income calculations and supporting documentation for Form 990-T reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and organizational accounting policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and reporting practices to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
