About the Role: Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking a Director of Housekeeping. The Director will manage the staff, oversee housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and employee areas, and direct the Laundry/Valet Department. Responsibilities include ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, maintaining preventive maintenance programs, controlling labor and departmental expenses, and responding promptly to guest and emergency situations. What You Will Do: Lead the housekeeping team—interview, train, coach, and schedule staff to execute Four Seasons standards. Establish detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to maintain appearance and life of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Set and maintain high cleanliness standards, assign staff, monitor activities, inspect all areas daily, and work with outside contractors to ensure quality and timeliness. Resolve customer complaints, handle all guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, and coordinate housekeeping needs of condominium or co‑op owners. Manage the department’s financial goals—monitor labor, uniform, linen, supplies, and contract services expenses; maintain accurate inventory records; prepare annual labor budgets and propose capital plan items. Ensure effective operation of the Laundry/Valet Department and assist as needed. Respond swiftly and effectively to hotel emergencies or safety situations. What You Bring: Minimum 15 years of housekeeping experience in fast‑paced, high‑pressure, large‑scale hotel environments. Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in housekeeping or operational rooms division management positions. Strategic business acumen, strong communication, and interpersonal skills. Passionate, motivated leader with excellent presentation and ability to lead a multicultural team. Ability to multi‑task across several tasks simultaneously. Work authorization in the United States.
