About the Role
Join our Louisville, KY–based team as a Field Structural Welder and take your stick welding expertise on the road. You’ll travel to multiple sites to fabricate, repair, and verify the integrity of metal structures while upholding rigorous quality and safety standards.
Per diem is available , and there is an opportunity for a company truck . Specifics on travel—such as duration, destinations, and time away—will be discussed during the initial phone screen.
A Day in the Field- Start your day reviewing blueprints and technical drawings to map out the work ahead.
- Measure, fit, and prep materials with precision using a tape measure and layout tools.
- Execute high-quality SMAW (stick) welds on a variety of components; perform MIG as needed.
- Diagnose weld issues and fine-tune settings or techniques to keep production on schedule.
- Team up with crew members to coordinate tasks and verify quality throughout the job.
- Maintain a tidy, hazard-free work area and follow all safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with stick welding in fabrication and/or repair settings.
- Fluency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Accurate measurement skills with a tape measure and related tools.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset to resolve welding challenges quickly.
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Comfort working independently and within a crew.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
