Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to join our lab team as a Point of Care Coordinator! The team consists of one technical lab leader and two coordinators. What You’ll Do: As a Point of Care Coordinator (POCC), you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating all the laboratory tests performed in the patient care areas by non-lab personnel. The POCC ensures all users are trained on POC tests and ensures that all standards of the regulatory agency are met and certification is maintained. While working primarily with provider and nursing staff at our La Crosse campus you will also help remotely for all Gundersen affiliates and clinics. Additional responsibilities include: Work closely with the Lab Administrative Director, Supervisor and Point of Care Testing Committee on system wide POCT issues including assessing new requests for Point of Care tests/instrumentation, connectivity, policy/procedure changes and regulatory requirements Participate in POCT device selection and validation, ensuring that precision and accuracy standards are met.
