Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s external financial and internal management reports.

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting and disclosure items
• Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of all assigned accounts and transactions to the general ledger
• Maintain and update the accounting policies of the Company for new accounting pronouncements and new business endeavors
• Support the preparation and review of all financial filings
• Provide assistance to operational management in the analysis and understanding of all financial information as required
• Responsible for technical accounting research for new accounting guidance and complex accounting issues
• Reconcile/review designated general ledger accounts to the summary trial balance on a monthly basis and provide periodic reporting of accounts
• Ensure all inter-company accounts for assigned entities are balanced on a periodic basis
• Prepare all assigned audit request schedules, for review by manager, for the quarterly and year end external audits on a timely basis
• Assist in preparation of financial reporting package on a timely basis
• Participate in all SOX compliance activities – including, but not limited to, documentation, testing, and reporting
• Provide analysis projects for management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
• Comfortable collaborating with and influencing peers, business partners, and senior leadership.
