We’re looking for a (West) Regional Operations Manager to join the Operations team at AirGarage. In this role, you will be the owner of operational and financial performance across your region, directly responsible for ensuring our parking facilities run smoothly, look great, and maximize revenue potential. You will be both a builder and an operator, designing repeatable processes, managing third‑party vendors, and developing pricing and enforcement strategies that directly impact AirGarage’s bottom line.

As the primary point of accountability for facility performance, you’ll balance boots‑on‑the‑ground execution with analytical decision‑making, moving seamlessly between site visits, vendor negotiations, and revenue optimization models. Your role will require you to be proactive in solving problems before they escalates, resourceful in managing competing priorities, and data‑driven in shaping strategy.

This is a highly cross‑functional role. You’ll partner with Sales, Product, and Partner Success teams to ensure our real estate partners see strong results and our customers enjoy a seamless experience. You’ll also lead our enforcement fleet (Space Force) and work closely with regional leadership to ensure every facility is performing at its peak.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for scaling operational excellence in your region: driving efficiency, profitability, and reliability while helping AirGarage expand our footprint and strengthen our reputation as the best operating partner for property owners.

• Operational Execution
• Ensure our properties look great and run smoothly through managing partnerships with third‑party vendors for routine (and not routine) services like cleaning, maintenance, wifi‑installation, and more.
• Own the physical appearance and day‑to‑day operations of all parking facilities in your region.
• Proactively identify & resolve issues impacting facility performance.
• Enforcement Optimization
• Manage the Space Force, our fleet of contract enforcers across your region.
• Refine incentives and run experiments to maximize efficiency of our enforcement program.
• Develop, implement, and iterate on dynamic pricing strategies for the region’s portfolio.
• Continuously evaluate market trends and competitor rates to maximize revenue.
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track performance and guide decision‑making.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Partner with the regional GM to align pricing and channel strategies with overall regional P&L goals.
• Work with the Partner Success Manager to deliver a seamless experience for property owners and tenants.
• Provide clear feedback to Product & Engineering on tools and systems that impact facility operations.
• 3–5+ years of experience in operations (ideally at another start‑up or company with a similar regional operations model (e.g. DoorDash, Uber, etc), banking, or consulting.
• Ability to work West Coast hours (you do not need to live on the West Coast, but have to be comfortable working the same hours as your other teammates).
• Strong analytical skills: comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Process and systems driven: designs, documents, and enforces SOPs; builds repeatable playbooks; instruments workflows and iterates for quality and speed.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to use data to inform strategy, identify trends, and optimize performance including user‑level analysis and segmentation
• Willingness to travel across the region for site visits and vendor meetings (20%+ Travel).

We want to be transparent: this role is not a fit for everyone. Being a Regional Operations Manager at a fast‑growing startup like AirGarage means you’ll face unique challenges that may not exist in later stage companies. You might want to pass if:

• You prefer a 9‑to‑5 rhythm. Our facilities run 24/7, and while we don’t expect constant availability, urgent issues sometimes arise outside of standard business hours.
• You want to stay behind a desk. This role requires regular travel and site visits, hanging out in parking garages, troubleshooting wifi boxes, or walking properties with vendors.
• You need highly defined processes from day one. We’re still building playbooks. You’ll often be the one creating the process for others to follow.
• You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity. At AirGarage, priorities can shift quickly as we scale. You’ll need to adapt, problem‑solve, and move forward without perfect information.
• You’re looking for a large team of direct reports. This role is highly hands‑on, leaning on third‑party vendors and contractors, rather than managing a big staff.
• You prefer doing strategic work only. While strategy is part of the role, you’ll also be rolling up your sleeves on tactical execution daily.
• You do not have strong SQL skills. There will be a test that requires you to be proficient to pass after the first interview.

AirGarage is a remote‑first company, but we also value in‑person collaboration to strengthen trust and teamwork. Team members should expect ~6 weeks of travel per year for:

• 2–3 full company off‑sites, “Remote Weeks”
• Lending a hand to support 2 new location launches
• In‑person onboarding as well as supporting other onboarding sessions for new team members

The rest of the year, team members can work remotely from wherever (US time zones) they’re most comfortable as long as they are performing well in their role. Attendance at in‑person events throughout the year is expected—if you’re not open to traveling ~6 weeks per year for work, this role isn’t a good fit for you.
