Position Summary

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for the management and servicing of a book of personal insurance accounts. This role delivers exceptional client service by handling policy servicing, renewals, coverage reviews, claims assistance, and account rounding opportunities. The Account Manager works closely with clients and carrier partners to ensure coverage needs are met while maintaining strong retention and client satisfaction.

Account Management & Client Service

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned personal lines clients.
• Manage day-to-day service requests, including policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, ID card requests, and coverage questions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the agency management system.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide professional, proactive service.
• Educate clients on policy coverages, exclusions, and insurance options.

Renewals & Coverage Reviews

• Proactively manage the personal lines renewal process.
• Conduct coverage reviews and provide recommendations based on clients' changing needs.
• Prepare and present renewal options and coverage comparisons.
• Work with carrier partners to secure appropriate coverage and competitive pricing.
• Ensure renewals are completed accurately and on time.

Claims Assistance

• Assist clients with reporting claims and navigating the claims process.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and carriers when needed.
• Provide guidance and support throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Follow up on claims-related concerns to help ensure a positive client experience.

Account Rounding & Coverage Expansion

• Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to better protect clients and their families.
• Recommend additional policies and coverage enhancements, including umbrella, recreational vehicle, flood, and specialty products when appropriate.
• Educate clients on coverage options to strengthen protection and improve retention.
• Partner with Personal Lines and Commercial Lines team members to identify cross-selling opportunities.

Retention & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and consistent follow-up.
• Deliver a high level of service that supports client retention and long-term loyalty.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of client accounts and anticipate future insurance needs.
• Support agency growth through exceptional client experiences and relationship management.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred.
• Personal Lines insurance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of personal insurance products and coverages, including homeowners, auto, umbrella, recreational vehicles, and dwelling policies.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with agency management systems; Epic experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
