Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to assigned patients.

• Monitor patient vitals, interpret telemetry data, and respond to changes promptly.

• Identify and escalate safety risks, infection control issues, and patient concerns.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.

• Document patient assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning in electronic health records.

• Meet performance targets through efficient patient throughput and adherence to protocols.

• Educate patients and families on illness, medications, and post-discharge care.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and care efficiency.

• Participate in on-site team huddles and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.

• Assist in on-the-job training and mentoring of new or less-experienced staff as needed.

• Proactively identify opportunities for personal and professional development aligned with growth goals.

Experience/Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current state license and med-surg/telemetry experience.

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rapid interpretation of cardiac rhythms.

• Ability to document assessments and care plans accurately in EHR systems.

• Strong patient safety focus with infection control and risk escalation awareness.

• Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clear handoff communication.

• Experience in patient education for illness, medications, and discharge care.

• Ability to meet performance targets, manage throughput, and adhere to protocols.

• Mentoring ability and willingness to train less-experienced staff on the floor.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with growth goals.

• Flexibility for part-time, on-site shifts with reliable attendance and reliability.
