About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required. License: Valid RN licensure required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required. Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting system required. - Ability to provide holistic and individualized care. Description: The position is for a 34-bed Emergency Department serving patients of all ages. It is a basic level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with no trauma. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1. Responsibilities include assessing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care. Direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care are essential. The nurse is accountable for delivering care in an acute patient setting. Candidates should have experience managing various conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, and mental/behavioral health conditions. Skills in phlebotomy, intubation, and managing patients with traumatic injuries are required. The nurse must be able to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Finally, experience with continuous IV sedation and managing ventilated patients is essential.
