Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer - Level 3

Job Description Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for Advanced Development Programs Skunk Works® . Responsible for pioneering aerospace subsystem innovations. What You Will Be Doing Deliver high‑performance subsystem solutions that enable next‑generation aircraft. Responsibilities Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action Create and maintain 3‑D CATIA models, assemblies, installations, and associated documentation Coordinate with suppliers, integrated product teams, management, and customers Support manufacturing, ground/flight test, and customer operating locations Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering Experience with CAD tools such as 3DX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX Experience creating and/or modifying drawings Experience with aircraft subsystem design, installation, and troubleshooting Hands‑on experience with aircraft modifications Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance Desired Skills: Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout Experience with metallic design Experience with tubing and equipment installations Excellent writing and communication skills Active Secret Clearance 5 years of professional experience or 3 years with a related master’s degree Security Clearance U.S. citizen required. Must possess an active Secret clearance at the start of employment.
