McCluer Tennis Head Coach - Boys MCCLUER HIGH, Florissant, Missouri Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Minimum Qualifications Must possess a teaching certificate or a substitute teaching certificate (60 or more college hours). Responsibilities Preseason: Size and order uniforms and equipment; distribute uniforms and orders; plan and organize summer practices; plan and receive administrative approval for fundraisers; manage and distribute sports schedules; complete MSHAA online rules review and NFHS concussion training; provide first aid; maintain emergency procedures. Tryouts: Post information at high schools, middle schools, local parochial and private schools; hold informational meetings for parents and participants; keep track of applications, teacher recommendations, physical cards, proof of insurance and attendance for all applicants; set up and manage tryouts. Season: Follow all state, league, federation, building and District guidelines, procedures, and policies; hold parent meetings; order buses for different activities; insure all travel forms are complete; distribute uniforms and keep inventory documentation; manage, supervise and attend all practices; complete, maintain and insure compliance with all MSHSAA eligibility rosters 5 days prior to the first eligible contest; submit transfer students list to Athletic Director within two days of practice; attend all assigned games home and away including postseason; organize additional fundraisers throughout the season; develop routines for assigned sports assemblies; develop materials and attend pep rally; organize and participate in all Homecoming activities; maintain activities that promote school spirit; keep accurate records, including attendance and athlete’s grades; ensure stats are current and reported within two days after contest to STL Prep Sports; attend to MSHSAA postseason online forms; manage and discipline all athletes throughout the year; submit approved timesheets to Athletic Director no later than Wednesday following the reporting period; maintain parental contact; assist athlete with college recruitment process. Post-Season: Collect, wash, repair and store uniforms; complete inventory report and submit within two weeks of season end; submit fine cards to Athletic Director; assist with hosting event to distribute letters and awards; assess and evaluate the year and plan improvements for next year; attend post-athletic evaluation meeting with Athletic Director. Terms of Employment Athletic contracts are seasonal: fall contracts to be paid one time on approximately November 10; winter contracts on approximately February 10; spring contracts on approximately May 10. Safe Schools videos assigned by the District plus concussion, CPR, AED and First Aid certification videos required to satisfy MSHSAA. Timesheets if required. Substitute certificate at a minimum.
