About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the strategic growth engine, responsible for driving net-new revenue, expanding national accounts, and leading a proactive business development team. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in business development, strategic sales, or commercial leadership, and a strong ability to build and execute growth strategies for top national and regional accounts. The VP will be expected to build executive-level relationships, identify multi-location and enterprise expansion opportunities, and increase wallet share within existing strategic accounts. A key aspect of the role is to lead a hunter-oriented business development program, create target account strategies, and establish strategic partnerships for new growth channels. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years leading high-performing sales or business development teams. They should be adept at winning and managing strategic accounts, particularly in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong CRM discipline, a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), and a willingness to travel nationally are essential. The role requires an executive-level consultative seller with a hunter mentality, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to be both an individual contributor and a team leader. The VP will also be responsible for market intelligence, strategic pipeline development, and ensuring consistent prospecting and business development activity.
