Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to support multiple imaging facilities within our region, including Douglas Medical Center, Cobb Hospital, and Paulding Medical Center. Responsibilities include: performing mammography exams according to physician orders and protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort, reviewing image quality, maintaining equipment, and adhering to quality standards such as ACR and MQSA. Gathering patient history, explaining procedures clearly, protecting privacy, and assisting with transfers as needed. Documenting procedures accurately in PACS/RIS, maintaining records, and supporting training of new staff. Ensuring a clean, well-stocked environment and following infection control guidelines. Using clinical judgment, addressing emergencies, and communicating professionally within a fast-paced team. Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 2 years of hospital radiology and mammography experience, ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS certifications. Skills required: strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and mammography best practices. Ability to operate mammography equipment safely, optimize techniques, and maintain quality control.
