Schedule: Day Shift | 10-Hour Shifts
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Foreman to lead field crews on mid- to large-scale industrial, port, marine, and logistics projects in the La Porte, TX area. This is a local, full-time position with no travel or per diem .
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing new electrical construction and large-scale additions or renovations in production-driven industrial environments with strict schedule requirements. Projects may include ports, marine facilities, civil infrastructure, transportation, warehouses, water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial manufacturing facilities, and logistics operations.
The person in this role must have strong experience with large underground duct bank infrastructure, major excavations, and medium-voltage distribution systems up to 15kV and 35kV , preferably including both underground (UG) and overhead (OH) pole-line applications .
This is not a testing, maintenance, or troubleshooting-focused position. We are specifically seeking a field leader with a strong background in new construction, large-scale additions/renovations, production-driven environments, and large industrial electrical installations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews of 4–10 electricians and apprentices on industrial electrical construction projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily electrical installations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Manage field operations on mid- to large-scale industrial, port, marine, and logistics projects .
- Oversee major underground electrical infrastructure, including duct banks, large excavations, underground distribution, and associated electrical systems .
- Supervise installation of medium-voltage distribution systems up to 15kV and 35kV , including new construction.
- Oversee both underground (UG) and overhead (OH) electrical/pole-line applications , when applicable.
- Assist with project layout, scheduling, labor coordination, equipment planning, and material forecasting.
- Interpret project drawings and field conditions to accurately forecast labor, equipment, tools, and material requirements .
- Communicate resource requirements and field conditions to project managers and field supervisors to keep projects properly staffed and supplied.
- Coordinate directly with general contractors, owner representatives, inspectors, and other trades .
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate work activities to ensure critical milestones are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, one-lines, and schematics.
- Oversee installations involving conduit, wire pulling, terminations, electrical distribution systems, transformers, motors, motor controls, lighting systems, underground electrical systems, and medium-voltage equipment.
- Perform quality-control inspections to ensure installations meet project specifications and company standards.
- Manage material takeoffs, inventory, deliveries, and material usage while minimizing waste.
- Maintain accurate electronic daily project documentation , including daily reports, labor tracking, timekeeping, production tracking, field reports, and as-built documentation.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining productivity and project schedules.
- Monitor crew productivity and make adjustments based on changing field conditions.
- Mentor and develop electricians and apprentices while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, inspections, documentation, and turnover.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of electrical construction experience , preferably within industrial, port, marine, logistics, or heavy infrastructure environments.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman supervising crews of 4–10 electricians and apprentices.
- Proven experience managing mid- to large-scale electrical construction projects valued at $1 million or more .
- Strong background in new construction and large-scale additions or renovations .
- Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in:
- Industrial electrical construction
- Civil/infrastructure construction
- Marine and/or port environments
- Logistics and large-scale facility construction
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Proven experience with medium-voltage electrical systems up to 15kV and 35kV .
- Experience with new-construction medium-voltage distribution systems , not solely testing, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Experience with major underground duct banks, large excavations, and underground electrical infrastructure .
- Experience with underground (UG) and/or overhead (OH) pole-line electrical construction preferred.

- Ability to use drawings and current field conditions to forecast labor, equipment, and material requirements .
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, crew productivity, scheduling, and field coordination.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to active construction operations .
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct and participate in safety meetings, job briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure all crew members follow safe work practices and maintain compliance with project safety requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture while maintaining production and schedule requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Experience working directly with general contractors and owner representatives .
- Experience maintaining electronic project documentation and reporting systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead by example.
- Strong ability to forecast manpower, equipment, and material needs.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- Must be eligible to work on projects requiring background clearance, including schools, hospitals, and government facilities.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a seasoned electrical construction leader with 10+ years of new-construction experience who understands how to keep large industrial projects moving in demanding, production-driven environments.
This individual should be comfortable leading crews, interpreting drawings in the field, forecasting labor/equipment/material needs, coordinating with GCs and owners, maintaining electronic project documentation, and managing large underground and medium-voltage electrical installations while keeping safety, quality, productivity, and schedule requirements on track.
Candidates whose background is primarily testing, maintenance, or troubleshooting without significant new-construction and large-scale industrial project experience will not be considered.
