Overview

Join a compassionate healthcare team providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of registered nurses. This per diem role supports patients with daily living activities, treatment assistance, and maintaining a safe and comfortable nursing unit environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with physical, motor, sensory, cognitive, and psychological needs tailored to the population served, ensuring quality care aligned with age-specific competency standards.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate effectively with staff when assistance is needed.
• Support patients with activities of daily living including bathing, positioning, and mobility.
• Follow delegation protocols when receiving tasks from team members.
• Interpret charts, equipment settings, and medical documentation accurately.
• Engage in clear communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues both in person and via telephone.
• Collect non-invasive specimens and record vital signs.
• Assist nursing and medical staff during procedures.
• Document patient care using electronic medical records.
• Adapt to floating between departments such as Emergency, Obstetrics, Outpatient, and Surgery as needed.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in the state.
• Preferred: One or more years of experience in a patient care setting.
