Join Our Surgical Team as an Advanced Practice Provider

Our organization is looking for dedicated advanced practice providers to become part of our surgical team at Riverside University Health System. This role involves providing swing shift support during late afternoons to evenings in a bustling Level 1 trauma center. The ideal candidates will hold certification as an AGACNP or PA surgical provider.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Delivering strong perioperative management.
• Understanding and managing the care of surgical patients.
• Identifying and initiating treatment for life-threatening conditions.
• Solving complex clinical problems effectively.
• Collaborating well within a team and adapting to a dynamic clinical environment.
• Communicating efficiently with team members and supervising trauma surgeons.
• Facilitating smooth transitions of care between other APPs and residents.

Special Skills and Knowledge

This position requires specialized expertise in trauma, surgical critical care, and acute care surgery.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner License in the State of California.
• Hold a valid Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number in California.
• Have National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• Maintain valid AGACNP certification.
• Be certified in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Be able to obtain medical staff privileges.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity bonuses, which are determined by individual department compensation plans. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.
